Entry Requirements For Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design

    • Applicants must be 18 years or older.
    • All the applicants require the successful completion of studies equivalent to Australian year 12 education as the minimum level of entry into this course.
    • Furthermore, entry into this course students must be able to demonstrate:

– IELTS 5.5 overall or equivalent English proficiency, OR
– Student has completed an English Language course with an Australian educational institution exiting at an Upper Intermediate level, OR
– Student has undertaken at least 5 years’ prior study in an educational institution from selected countries where English was the medium of instruction; OR
– Student has successfully completed in Australia in the English language either the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or studies at the Certificate IV or higher level, in the two years before applying to Pinnacle Institute.

Course Outcome

On successful completion of this course (the student being deemed competent in all units) the student will be awarded the Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design. If only units are completed and not the full qualification Pinnacle will award a Statement of Attainment. The qualification will be awarded in line with the guidelines outlined in the VET Quality Framework. Graduates at this level will have broad knowledge and skills for paraprofessional / highly skilled work and/or further learning.

This qualification reflects the role of an individual working as a senior civil works designer or a para-professional designer, who supports professional engineers. After achieving this qualification, possible job roles may include:

Course Structure

92 weeks classroom delivery [includes a maximum of 12 weeks holiday] depending on intake. Students must atend minimum 20 hours class time per week as part of your student visa requirements. Distance learning is not available for international students. However, flexible learning arrangements of distant learning and self -paced study, are available for domestic students with a course duration of 52 weeks including holidays.
